Until a couple of years ago when I decided to get out of the little bubble in Johnson County that I knew so well and start exploring what else KC had to offer. To my absolute surprise I found little niches and treasures around every corner and I continue uncovering new places to this day.
I now relish knowing Kansas City has become my home away from home and jump at any opportunity to share this little treasure tucked away in the middle of the country.
The area has continued developing over the past 8 years offering something for everyone and providing opportunities for professionals in a lot of different specialties. According to Headline Data, “Kansas City took the No. 3 spot for offering the best job market for working age adults with a bachelor’s degree or higher. The city’s unemployment rate for that demographic is among the lowest in the nation at 2.5 percent.” The city also ranked in the top five for entrepreneurs according to the Global Entrepreneurship Congress’ Cities Challenge in 2015.
