Casey Wright.
PRESIDENT & OWNER
Casey serves as President and Owner of Chief of Staff and has been a key player in the Kansas City recruiting space since 2006. After years of building meaningful relationships with candidates and clients, he stepped into ownership in 2019, and COS has been on a strong growth path ever since. Under his leadership, the firm has expanded into multiple lines of service and has quickly become Kansas City’s go-to recruiting firm. Casey’s approach is rooted in authenticity and empathy, and he’s driven by a passion for connecting people with careers they love. He’s especially proud of the team he’s helped build, the creative freedom he’s cultivated, and the opportunity to make a real impact every day.
Casey graduated from KU with a degree in Psychology. He is originally from Topeka, but has called Kansas City home for the past two decades. As a recruiter, Casey brings a heart for human connection to everything he does. Long before recruiting became his career, he knew he wanted to help people, supporting them through life changes, career pivots, and professional growth. That purpose has guided his path since entering the industry and still drives him today.
While he’s deeply connected in the Kansas City community and across the Midwest, his network extends nationwide, built on trust, real relationships, and a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives. He loves building personal, lasting relationships equally with candidates, clients, friends of the firm, and helping everyone he can. At his core, Casey is proud to lead a company where people come first, and where every connection counts.
“Chief of Staff only sent us qualified candidates. This allowed us to quickly source and hire the right candidate.”
– Steve, COO
Casey stays involved in the community through organizations like KC CANN!, the American Heart Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters, his daughters’ school, Nativity, and more. For Casey, it all comes back to connection, whether it’s with clients, candidates, or the community. He loves learning what people are passionate about and helping align those passions with opportunities that move them forward.
Outside of work, Casey is all about family, food, and being outside. He loves traveling with his wife and their two daughters, including a yearlong family adventure across 38 states and five Canadian provinces. On any given weekend, you might find him walking his dog Soda Pop, fishing, cheering on local sports teams, or exploring Kansas City’s food and music scene. His curiosity, energy, and love for people fuel everything he brings to COS.
First Job:
As a kid I did a lot of landscaping, baled hay, babysat, worked as an electrician’s apprentice, etc., but I think my first job with a pay stub was making sandwiches at Mr. Goodcents.
Favorite Paid Holiday:
I would have to say it is a tie between St. Paddy’s Day and the Fourth of July, but Thanksgiving is a close runner-up.
Favorite Job:
I am doing it right now!
First Concerts:
My first ever concert was Huey Lewis and The News with my family after a Royals’ game (now known as Kauffman Stadium), but my first big concert as a teenager without my parents was Tom Petty at Sandstone Amphitheatre.
Favorite Workday Lunch Spot:
Rye, Summit Grill, and Meat Mitch are a just few of my favorites. I love to keep it local and support other Kansas City-based companies.
